IN A HEAP
nickle-ant
million-man
clicks the devil window
there are scores of suck lozenges
and bits of lemon gastric
it is a battlefield!
so many
strange names...
some of them derive from Star Wars seemingly
The strongest soldiers
(so the TV)
are blind
they mill about
they have to co-operate
they kill their prey by stinging
The commentator will have a mildly, gentle Irish or North British accent
like milk chocolate
sisters
A dwarf in the water takes
"a bat or a moth"
It is now daylight
There are more predators
So we play a soothing parrot-neat mandoline tune
Have seen them
peeping from the collar
And the broccoli panoply shades
the grinning primate has found curare
to be used in medical experiments
"And tonight there's a special visitor"
Huge grey-fluff NIGHT
dramatic giant of the clay-marble-eye
an inside pot
eats-all
rounds up
there are tricky heaps of wood-termite
and under-dumps
are halls, they praise
blind harper-beetles
the boot slats
cellophane
butter-munch
so we can count them
auditors, independents, and business failures
as if the words are a picnic
pork-tank nit-brain tin-ear
and
America is an eating machine
on the neat continents
they shake God their salt-cellar
misdescribed
It is not the Alqaida you should be frightened of
but Allah
