as if on the palm of the hand.
A clever horse
takes titbits that way,
gently,
so as not to frighten
the giver.

It seems to me
that the first Song
was one of Joy
Birds sang it
delighting in flight.
The Song of Sorrow
was invented by Man
yearning for flight.
