Five Haibun from A Hawk into Everywhere
A Repositioning in Space
Not always the choice between falling or standing. All things pass but are not necessarily finished; space filled with shopping trolleys of uncompleted business, fragments of conversation. You left behind: a boot, The Basement Tapes, Rizlas, a Moroccan blanket, your A-Z. I wake in the night and worry you’ll not know where you are. Here dawn’s salt wind buffets the house. Things that seemed to be inconsequential turn out to be essential. These glyphs, arrowing out alone into unimaginable distances, somehow met, tagged, transmuted, sent flying back home in other voices; come of age but recognisable.
White passageways, ambition, landscapes you’ll never know
