Treatment Room
Ice capped, to cool the scalp, we watch
pure poison flow into our veins;
try not to care about the chaos
in our cells. We have learnt to wait
in rows, recite the codes of our being
like a litany, day, month, year;
in case by some miracle we have been
mistaken for someone else.
