Builders and Poets

If builders wrote poems
(leaving dirty hand prints)
at a glance they’d seem OK
(other than for hand prints).
But then you’d start to notice
(underneath the hand prints)
that some lines were
uneven
(even more than hand prints).
And jumbled others slightly,
(not to mention print hands)
and generally unfin
2)
(riddle-me, fiddle-me, diddle-me,dee)
if poets built houses
(dainty, dainty, artifice)
the rich would live in caves
