Steady as She Goes
to advantage distracted
from and from
though toward no object
at rest desolate
some would say surfeit
some would say but for this
the isle called home
on its shifting on its sands
resolute as
here the Santa Fe line once ran
and weeds thrive between tracks
nailed to the earth
