Kristiina Ehin is one of the leading poets in Estonia. Most of her work, poetry and prose, has also appeared in English translation, including the Poetry Society Popescu Prize winner The Drums of Silence (Oleander Press, 2007), the Poetry Book Society Recommended Translation The Scent of Your Shadow (Arc, 2010) and The Final Going of Snow (MPT Poets, 2011). An as yet untitled volume of her new and selected poems in English translation will be published this year in the US by the Bitter Oleander Press. She has been chosen by the Southbank Centre to represent Estonia at the Poetry Parnassus Festival. Her English translator is Ilmar Lehtpere.
