Hadaa Sendoo was born in Inner Mongolia in 1961. Since 1991 he has lived and worked in Ulaanbaatar. He writes in Mongolian, Chinese and English. He has published more than ten collections of poetry. His poems have been translated into more than thirty languages (English: Come Back to Earth, 2009). His work has been selected for The Best Mongolian Poetry. He won the Mongolian Writers Union Prize. Hadaa Sendoo was elected a full Member of the Mongolian Academy of Humanities and has received an Achievement Award (2010, USA). Hadaa Sendoo’s most recent publication in Mongolian is The Road Is Not Completed, published in Ulaanbaatar, 2011. He has been nominated for the 2012 International Peace Award. He is also a founder and leading figure of the World Poetry Almanac.
